No scientific rating system has previously been advising consumers/buyers, and all others in United States supply chains, of the risk of live, nonnative species to ecosystems and the economies they support. Plain language risk information in each EcoStar label is intended to help all of us make wise decisions on plants and animals we wish to import, farm, sell, buy, and keep. Label format and content can be adjusted to meet client and audience needs.
